new media gallery & incubator
The New Media Gallery and Tech Incubator situates itself in Pittsburgh's East Liberty neighborhood. Housing a variety of community spaces as well as offices for new startups, the space seeks to promote transparency and interaction between incoming business and the existing community. The design features a visually open ground level with stepped seating that creates a seamless path of travel from one side of the site to the other. Above it are the galleries, workspaces and offices, all enclosed in an overarching translucent shell.
